Capped a fine indoor season by placing fourth in the MVC Championships in the weight throw (62-2 1/2) before injuries ruined his outdoor season. Was first in the weight throw at the McDonald’s Invitational (59-7 1/2) and the USA Track Open (61-9). Placed first in the hammer (178-0) at the Snowbird Invitational. A two-time NJCAA national champion and All-American in the weight throw, and junior college national record holder. Also an NJCAA all-American in the hammer throw and discus.
